She sat up, yawning. She glanced out her window, then to her clock. 7AM. She got up, stretching, and entering the bathroom, she turned on the shower, got undressed, and stepped in. She rinsed her body, and washed her hair, reaching out to turn the knob to end her shower once she was done. She stepped out, drying off and pulling on a fuzzy green robe. She browsed through her closet, full of expensive clothing, choosing a simple gray tee, with a very very faint picture on it. It went along with the pair of fawn breeches she put on, and did her long, wavy, red hair up in a fancy bun. She pulled black tall boots up over her breeches and zipped them up. She pulled on a blue sweater, and a black and purple jacket, as well as a hat, and gloves, and set out the apartment. It was close enough to walk to the stables, she had plenty of energy. But about a minute after she walked outside, her raynauds kicked in, so she couldn't feel her hands or feet, but she didn't really care, having learned to deal with it. She finally came upon the stables, entering. It felt nice to be in the warmth out of the snow. She sighed. Her stallion, Adder, had finally been shipped from Ireland two months ago, up until then she had ridden mostly School horses. She undid the latch and grabbed the black faux leather halter off the hook on the stall door, which she slid open, haltering the Stallion and clipping the lead on. She hooked him to some cross ties, and began grooming him. Once his dapple grey coat gleamed, he was tacked up, and led outside. She used a mounting block to get up onto his back, and head off to the track of the indoor arena. Soon she picked up a trot, closing and opening her ring finger to keep him on the bit in contact,as well as sitting deep in the saddle, for a pretty, unmoved seeming, sitting trot. Adder framed up and collected himself on Que, he had been well trained. Dana came from The outskirts of Derry, Ireland. She lived with her parents and grandparents in a small cottage, on a tiny farm. They bred and trained and showed Irish Sport Horses. Two years ago Dana moved to North America, to Canada, and after sometime as a rider, became and Instructor. She still competes with Adder, in big shows, for Adder was a great horse, and not to boast, but Dana quite an excellent rider, she had a natural talent for it, and was literally born in the company of a horse, her mother had been in the stables alone, except for Adder's grandmother, when Dana had been born. Dana put her leg back and tapped her heels, and Adder picked up a working canter, Dana's behind sweeping the saddle rhythmically as they went. She worked him into a serpentine, working on flying lead changes, his weakest spot, even that, with much work, she had been working him towards, but he definitely had room for improvement, and not only with that movement, although his jumping was down quite well, he had a tendency to rush water jumps, and he had a few spaces in dressage that though good, could improve.
