AYDAN YORK
twenty-two | on probation | bitter | challenging | defiant | nice side buried deep
Who's That Girl?
Her name's Aydan Elizabeth York. She's twenty-two and on probation for being arrested three times for theft. But what could the girl do? She needed to feed the horse that she stole and it was the only way that she could do it. She stole her first horse Charlie from an abusive home, and although she was credited saving his life, she was still arrested. After she was released, she needed to care for him. And feed was expensive, especially with the salary she was making. She stole a bag a week, but always did it rather skillfully. Until that last time. She got sloppy because she was in a rush. They had caught her red handed, and she hadn't been able to talk her way out of that one. So she could never go back to that store. She got off with a warning, and was soon back to her old ways. She stole for herself this time for the food money was now just for Charlie and Aranel. Aranel was a "gift" from her parents. The girl needed to eat to survive, so she stole a meal. Sue her. They didn't. They arrested her and gave her her options. She could go to jail or she could work off her debt to society here. So she came here.
Aydan works at the stable when she isn't working at the local restaurant. She actually pays for things and tries not to remember her past. Her parents gave her up at the age of sixteen because in their opinion they had taken care of her for long enough. Besides, she didn't fit in with the rich crowd. She always came home dirty and in jeans and sweatshirts, which didn't fit in with their society. They told her she could keep Aranel or they would send her to the auction. So Aydan kept her. She wouldn't let her only companions go to auction. She works hard and she does her best to forget her old life in Ireland. In her opinion, that was nothing. It was an accident, and she didn't need to remember it. So she didn't. And doesn't. She's working to prove herself to Mrs. Bridlewood so she can bring her two horses here. It's a long process though.
What's She Like?
Aydan can be really friendly when she wants to be. She's rather shy unless she's forced into a situation that requires her to be social. Like her jobs for instance. She takes what she does very seriously because without her jobs she wouldn't be able to afford Charlie and Aranel. The young woman is extremely bitter towards her old life, and she can sometimes get jealous if people talk about how good their parents are at times. However, she's as loyal as they come and as soon as she befriends someone, she's a friend for life. She's dedicated and determined, and made it far in the horse world in Ireland. No one knows she's from Ireland because it shames her, so she hides her accent to the best of her ability. She's a very secret person, and doesn't let her guard down easily. She's a loner, but that doesn't bother her. In her opinion, she can't get hurt that way. Aydan is also extremely feisty and defiant. Get her in a battle of words, and she will keep fighting until she has nothing left. She's also been known to throw punches in her old home town, so that reputation stayed with her while there. She's tough, and does what she can to survive. That's what it all comes down to. She really can be a sweetheart though if given a chance.
Wanna Hang Out?
Aydan needs some friends, even though it's hard to start a conversation with her. But she's open to anything, whether it be just acquaintances or best friends. She needs to start a life here since she's going to be here for a while. Give her a chance. She's really not that bad.
Waste of My Time?
Aydan can be a very person to not get along with. So she's going to have some haters out there. Bring 'em on. She's up to a good challenge every now and again. She can take anything from an annoyance to a hard core hate.
Could It Be?
She doesn't have a heart of stone. She can actually be quite loving and carefree. She'll give you a run for your money, but she can actually be very passionate. She's a lover at heart, not a fighter. Life has just made her hard. She can get over that though, and she does truly have a soft side. Give her a chance. She's not into the fling thing really, but anything from crush to attraction, to an actual relationship would be wonderful.
